Some of what they did was cleverly disguised encouragement to the allied forces to fool their handlers. Some was outright supportive of the enemy. Much was ado over nothing by those that would accuse them of treason.

However serious their words and deeds were then, it is tame kittens in comparison to some of the radio and television personalities of today.
